THE ACTUAL ACCOUNT OF BIG CHIEF
BEEN BUFFALOED
and How It Illuminates the Dark War Against Children
I was an American Indian,
Cherokee mostly, though my mother insisted we were actually Tuckhahote. She was not sure how to spell it, but she was
sure that was how it sounded. I was
proud to be descended from Native American stock.
My first awareness
of how a white-skinned blond-headed boy of my type was an American Indian must
have been around the time I started first grade. My brother who was four years older (but had a
different father), had our mother's straight black hair, and dark eyes, and like
her, was easily tanned in the summer sun.
Mother was small but
fiery. She took seriously the
responsibility of raising her two sons without the help of a father. She and her sisters looked like Cherokee
princesses and had a kind of offish dignity befitting their ancestral
heritage.
Their mother, my
grandmother, died when my mother was twenty-one. I never knew my grandmother, but the few
pictures of her suggested a slender beautiful American Indian maiden. It was often said by her daughters that she
could ride a horse bareback at full gallop while standing up! Her nickname (which in her family was a term
of endearment), was "The Squaw."
By the time I had
finished the sixth grade, I received a certificate of award for having read
every book in the elementary school library on American Indians. I often wore a large feather tied with sewing
thread in the back of my hair, complemented by a self-made "real" Indian shirt.
I identified with
all things American Indian including being faithfully on the Indian side of
"Cowboys and Indians." Finally,
to my great relief, the blond hair of my adolescence turned a coarse jet black
in my later teens. I still blistered
before I tanned, but eventually, I did turn a mellow light brown.
Backed by
photographs of ancestors, and oral family histories, from childhood through my
early sixties, I remained proud of my Cherokee/Tuckahote ancestry. As an avid outdoorsman, I attributed hunting,
and navigational skills to my "Indian blood."
My sisters,
brother, and cousins on our mother's side shared our heritage with pride. I even had the privilege of teaching several
times as a visiting professor at a Native American Bible College. What a privilege to serve "my
people."
Then, around age
sixty-four, a small cloud of doubt arose.
It came over the horizon of a question about my blood type. I had donated blood many times, but this was
different. I had to be typed and tested
to see if I qualified to donate at Magen David Adom, the Israeli equivalent of
the American Red Cross in Jerusalem.
I was approved, but
for some reason upon my return to the United States, I sensed a desire to do
something I had never considered. That
was, to check if my blood type, which is one of the rarest, was frequent among
Native Americans. I was astonished to
discover that of all the blood types, mine was essentially unknown among First
Nations of the Americas.
Of course, that did
not mean that I was not mostly American Indian, but it was enough to prompt me
to call some of my relatives to confirm our heritage. I received unanimous affirmation. The long family history could not be
wrong. I was somewhat relieved, and yet
that small cloud continued to grow.
About a year later,
the cloud mushroomed into a full-blown thunderstorm with ancestral
consequences. The long version is intensely
interesting to my family, and I, but the super short version is what is
relevant here.
At that time, I
discovered the identity of my real father.
In the process of this discovery, DNA tests were taken by myself and
other family members. When the
indisputable results were revealed, I called my last living sister on our mother's
side, told her that the DNA results were completed, and asked her this
question. "How much Indian blood do you think I have?" She replied, "Probably up to 50%."
What I told her
elicited an instant and loud response. "No way!
That is just not possible!" Well, not only was it possible, it was a
fact. The amount of my DNA attributable
to Native American ancestry was zero!
Furthermore, because mine was zero, so was our mother's, and our Indian
Princess grandmother!"
As further testing
and more information were revealed about our true family history, it became
clear that our Native American heritage was pure fiction. By the power of suggestion and by being convinced
of something we were encouraged to believe and wanted to believe, we had
identified with a myth.
In fact, there had never
been any actual proof of our supposed Cherokee/Tuckahote ancestry - no tribal records;
no census documents - nothing - only naively and optimistically interpreted
physical characteristics and family tradition.
We all believed it - truly believed it - but only because of the power
of suggestion. To use a colloquial term:
"it was all in our head."
In American culture,
the term "buffaloed," means to be fooled, deceived, or misled. As a humorous way to deal with the truth, I
created another fiction - my fictitious American Indian name. The story you have just read is not fiction. It is the actual account of Big Chief Been
Buffaloed.
How This Actual Account
Illuminates the Dark War Against Children
Being misinformed,
and mislead about one's ancestral heritage during childhood, may or may not
result in a life-altering crisis, (and certainly not to trivialize in any way),
but the account above does illustrate how easily the beliefs, and experiences
of childhood are influenced. The power
of suggestion can be strong at any age, but never more so than during the
malleable, and impressionable years of youth.
During that time of
life, a child may believe any number of things that are only "in their head," and later
grow out of it. Conversely, it is also
possible that a child so strongly believes in an untruth that not only do they not
grow out of it, they grow into it. That
is, they become what they believe. In
extreme cases, such beliefs could be categorized as a mental illness.
How children are
influenced, especially during early adolescence affects not only their choices but also their personhood for life. Personhood
can be understood as the permanent entity of human life that transcends the
body and the brain, and even the mind (as we commonly understand what we mean
by the mind).
Humans are infinitely
more than the sum of their body parts (including the brain). In fact, the mind/brain connection is both
confusing and easily misunderstood. 1 Is the mind merely the output of brain synapses? Is it the output of synapses influenced by
external stimuli? Is the mind a self-existing
entity only capable of expression through the brain? Alternatively, is there a third component
such as a divinely implanted person coexisting with, but independent of both brain
and mind?
The answers to
these questions point us to one of three conclusions. Humans are never actually responsible for
their choices; they are only temporally and to a limited extent responsible;
they are responsible and accountable. If
they are responsible and accountable, then both the person and the person(s) who
influences others are equally responsible and accountable.
The answer is not
ambiguous from a Bible perspective. "And I saw the dead, the great and the
small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was
opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things
which were written in the books, according to their deeds" (Revelation
20:12 NASV).
Whether one agrees
or not with the Biblical perspective, the fact of cognitive development remains
central to overall human maturity. For
example, children can speak before they know what they mean, they can walk
before they know where to go, they can reach up to the counter for a drink of
water, but also to a finger-blistering stove.
Children can believe fairy tales as well as the truth, but may not be
capable of knowing the difference.
This is profoundly
important, especially when it comes to matters of self-awareness,
self-identity, self-esteem, self-confidence, and most of all, the overarching
concept of justice and morality.
During the years of
their growing up, children need physical, mental, and spiritual nurture and
protection. This is especially so
because by the time a child reaches the age of four or five they have eyes,
hands, feet, legs, voices, motor skills, and mental functions capable of
mimicking adult choices and behaviors, but they are not capable of properly
understanding the wisdom or consequences of such choices and behaviors.
The human cerebral
cortex is part of the brain that functions as our cognitive ethical, moral,
and actionable judgment central processing unit. Established science agrees that this vital brain area does not reach full processing capacity until roughly the age
of twenty-five.2
This crucial area
of the brain is the control center for decision-making, problem-solving,
conscious thought, attention, emotional and behavioral control, speech
production, personality, intelligence, and body movement. 3
So critical is this part of the brain that some
experts suggest: "The fact that our brains aren’t developed until the mid-20s means that “legal adults” (those age 18+) are allowed to make adult
decisions, without fully mature brains. Someone
who is 18 may make riskier decisions than someone in their mid-20s in part due
to lack of experience, but primarily due to an underdeveloped brain. All behaviors and experiences you endure
until the age of 25 have the potential to impact your developing brain." 3
This leads us
directly to the current dark war on children.
That is the evil attack on childhood innocence by pumping into functionally
undeveloped brains the destructive thoughts of sexual pleasures and gender
confusion. Thoughts that children in an
otherwise balanced and healthy environment are not obsessed with nor confused by.
It is relevant to
consider the origin of this dark war against children. While many societal forces have contributed, it
can be argued that the core forces emerged from the U.S. Supreme Court 410 U.S.
113 (1973) decision that affirmed a woman's constitutional right to an
abortion.
The flood of death
that resulted has served to degrade, demean, and disregard the value of human
life, and the glory of motherhood. Not
surprisingly, following June 24, 2022, U.S. Supreme Court overturn of Roe v.
Wade, advocacy for the dark war on children has intensified significantly.
Secular and
societal forces alone are not the only causes promoting the
intensification. At the core are the
forces of hatred against God, and a diabolical plan to strike out to harm the
most precious object of His creation. "The thief comes only to steal and kill
and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John
10:10 NASV).
One of the most
pernicious lies of this dark war on children is that rather than introducing
sexual and gender confusion, the so-called emissaries of liberation are only
uncovering what is already there, and allowing its release from bondage. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Consider this; there
is a cognitive link between the vile indoctrination and sexual exploitation of
children and the process by which children are taught to become terrorists and
soldiers, something for which they are not naturally inclined.
"In fact, children become militants for
various reasons, most of which have little to do with “choice.” While some
youths choose violence, many children’s options are limited by the contexts in
which they live, their socialization or the conditioning they receive, and the
cruel and coercive tactics used by armed groups, which include kidnapping and
force." 4
My generation can
hardly believe this dark war on children is actually happening. It would have been inconceivable during our own
childhood. Not because the exploitation
of children was unheard of, but because the culture of our day held as sacred,
the right of every child to grow up in a nurturing and protective environment
shielded from those who would steal their childhood, and shackle them with memories
so oppressive that for the rest of their lives, the demons of exploitation would
visit them every time they stood before a mirror, and during endlessly recurring
brutal nightmares.
It is one thing for
a child to think they are an American Indian when in fact they are 100%
European. As an adult, the child might still
prefer to have been an Indian, which is perfectly acceptable, and possibly
noble.
It is quite another to lead a child into sexual exploitation, and gender confusion, and facilitate the unspeakable
horror of puberty-blocking drugs, and the surgical mutilation of their fearfully and wonderfully made natural bodies (Psalm 139:14). In this dark war on
children, these influences, and actions deserve to be declared nothing short of what they are - crimes against humanity - war crimes.
Has this dark war
on children gone so far that it cannot be ended? For those who have already been exploited,
the answer is complicated, but to protect children yet untouched by this war,
it is time to pass legally defendable laws that say clearly and loudly, "Leave our children alone or you will
pay for your crimes!"
Whether this dark
war against children is perpetrated in the shadows of a perverted subculture,
supported by media, or even the law, (history is replete with atrocities
carried out under the sanction of a government), it is a wickedness that will
not go unpunished.
The perverted
criminals promoting this dark war on children may receive temporary support,
and appear to be exempt from the punishment they deserve. Nevertheless, make no mistake; their day of
reckoning is coming.
Temporally, their
day of reckoning will come from the exploited children, who as they mature
throughout adulthood, will come to resent deeply the crimes carried out against
them. In fact, though statistics are
only now emerging (in spite of aggressive resistance from perpetrators, and
their supporters), evidence is mounting that such resentment is on the increase.

Ultimately, their
day of reckoning will come with terrible and eternal consequences already
prophesied by the Judge of all the earth.
"but whoever causes one of these little
ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy
millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matthew 18:6 NASV).
"A river of fire was flowing and coming out
from before Him; Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, and myriads upon
myriads were standing before Him; the court sat, and the books were
opened" (Daniel 7:10
NASV).
"And I saw the dead, the great and the
