Why is the United States System of Government and Law So Vulnerable to Weaponization Against its People?

The answer to that question is not complicated. It was presaged by founding father and second president John Adams on October 11, 1798, in a warning to the officers of the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Militia of Massachusetts.

"While our Country remains untainted with the principles and manners, which are now producing desolation in so many parts of the world: while she continues sincere and incapable of insidious and impious policy: We shall have the strongest reason to rejoice in the local destination assigned us by Providence. But should the people of America, once become capable of that deep simulation towards one another and towards foreign nations, which assumes the language of justice and moderation while it is practicing Iniquity and extravagance; and displays in the most captivating manner the charming pictures of candour [sic] frankness & sincerity while it is rioting in rapine and insolence: this country will be the most miserable habitation in the world. Because we have no Government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion.  Avarice, ambition revenge or galantry [sic], would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

When the immoral and irreligious are elected or appointed to positions of power, we should not wonder that they devolve into the evil described by the prophet Isaiah: "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter" (Isaiah 5:20 NASV).

The great strength of our system of government is that it recognizes the power of truth to assure justice. However, that very strength when perverted has the power to assure injustice. "Evil men do not understand justice, But those who seek the LORD understand all things" (Proverbs 28:5 NASV).

Our great strength is also our great weakness. "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan" (Proverbs 29:2 NASV)   For the sake of the people, may the righteous increase!

PILFERED WHILE WE SLEPT: Sacred Things Being Stolen

Pilfer  (intransitive verb) to steal; especially to steal stealthily in small amounts and often again and again. 

For example, a few grains of wheat in a large sack pilfered by a rodent in the middle of the night will at first hardly be missed.  Yet, over time, and little by little, the whole bag can be depleted and spoiled.  

We slept, and in small amounts, again and again, the world went about pilfering and spoiling sacred things.

We slept, and the world pilfered the true meaning of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Now, the cross is a symbol of religious intolerance, and what we have left are bunnies and colored eggs.

We slept, and the world pilfered the true meaning of Divine creation.  Now the idea of creation is considered a dangerously regressive mythology, and what we have left are mocking cartoons of two naked people slightly covered by fig leaves.

We slept, and the world pilfered the true meaning of Christmas.  Now, we cannot have a nativity scene on public property, and what we have left are earlier and longer holiday shopping hours.

We slept, and the world pilfered the dignity of virginity.  Now, the idea of abstinence is considered a form of sexual repression, and what we have left is rampant promiscuity and STDs.

We slept, and the world pilfered the sanctity of human life.  Now the idea of the sanctity of human life is considered an attack on the right of choice, and what we have left are the unknown graves of tens of millions of human beings denied the right to life.

We slept, and the world pilfered the power and purpose behind why God created us male and female (Genesis 1:27).  Now the very idea of the gift of gender permanency has become an attack on the freedom of human expression, and even the memory of the rainbow as a beautiful reminder of the promise of God to never again destroy the world by water has been spoiled.

Did all sleep?  No, but enough slept that the pilfering went largely unchallenged, and continues unabated. 

First came the pilfering of our reasons for what we believe.  Then came the pilfering of the rights associated with those beliefs.  The right of a Christian military chaplain to pray in the name of Jesus.  The right of a Christian guidance counselor to lead a troubled student to Christ.  The right of the Christian biology teacher to even suggest that there is a scientifically supportable alternative to evolution.   The right of the Christian business owner to refuse service to people committing sodomy.   The right of the pastor, and a congregation to publically endorse a godly candidate for public office. 

And there is very likely more to come - much more.  Such as the loss of the tax-exempt status of the church, and related ministries, clergy housing allowance, tax-deductible giving to Christian institutions, real estate and personal property tax exemptions, religious freedom provisions and protections, and selective restrictions of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

Are all these the results of sleeping?  Well, who did the pilfering - those sleeping or those wide awake?  Or, to ask it another way; who is it that changes the truth of God into a lie, and promotes worshipping and serving the creature more than the Creator? (Romans 1:25 NASV)?   Here is a hint - he is infinitely more destructive than a rodent, and he never sleeps - he prowls (I Peter 5:8).

WILL WE BE NEXT?

 

Christian nationalists, alarmists, conspiracy theorists, doomsters, wild-eyed, and hysterical - these are a few of the nicer pejoratives used to describe Bible-believing Christians who openly speculate that they are the next cancel-culture target of radical neo-socialists.  I am a Bible-believing Christian, and I have many friends who share my faith in Christ.  I am convinced that if radical neo-socialists could cancel us today, they would.

Question:  Who supports the wholesale murder of the unborn, encourages women to invite complete strangers to kill their children before they are born, sexual deviance, birth gender denial, forcing sexual indoctrination on children as early as preschool, gender mutilation of both adults and little children by surgery and/or drugs, denying parents the right to exercise the wholesome and honorable oversight of their own children, state-sponsored repression of civil rights, extreme violence in the name of entertainment, extreme violence by thugs who are not held accountable or brought to justice, denying history, removing remembrances of historical personages and events they dislike, denial of creation by an Omnipotent God, denial of the value and authority of the Bible, denial of Judeo-Christian values, denial of sin, denial of salvation, denial of Divine judgment, denial of eternal life, denial of heaven and hell, denial of absolute truth, "Who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter" (Isaiah 5:20 NASV); and in so doing "enact evil statutes, and constantly record unjust decisions" (Isaiah 10:1)?

Answer:  Radical neo-socialists.  The history of China and Russia under communism, Germany under the Nazis, and the goals of radical neo-socialism are ideologically the same.  That's not speculation.

Question:  Who stands in the way of what radical neo-socialists support?

Answer:  Bible-believing Christians and Jews.  The goals of radical neo-socialism cannot be fully realized as long as Bible-believing Christians stand in the way.  That's why they want to cancel us.  That's not speculation.

Question:  If the radical neo-socialists win the next round of national elections in the United States, who do you think will be next on their cancel-culture list?

Answer:   Bible-believing Christians.  That's not speculation.

Question:  What should Bible-believing Christians do about it?

Answer:  At all costs, and in the face of every opposition, we must continue to "fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord's commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good" ( Deuteronomy 10:12, 13 NASV).   And, at every opportunity, and at whatever cost, "We must obey God rather than men" (Acts 5:29 NASV).

THAT'S HOW WE STAND IN THE WAY, AND THAT'S HOW WE KEEP FROM BEING NEXT!
